In our case, those people were Rob and Kathy Hanck, and their passion was plants. What started as a small flower shop in the Campus West area of Fort Collins 40 years ago, quickly shifted its focus to interior plant care.
The Hanck family found that professionally created interior plant designs translated to brighter offices, happier employees and healthier working environments. The secret caught on fast. Pretty soon, The Green Thumb was adding interior plant magic to companies from Denver all the way to Cheyenne, enhancing office spaces in the Loveland and Fort Collins area with indoor living walls and helping employees reach their true potential.
In 1997, Rob and Kathy passed the reins onto their daughter, Sarah, and her husband, Dave Ellis. With new leadership came even more new ideas, such as expert designs and leasing options. It didn’t take long before businesses across northern Colorado and beyond included at least one professionally designed plant creation from The Green Thumb.
Today, Sarah, Dave and the entire biophilic design team stay busy outfitting companies with office plant designs, including vertical garden and indoor living walls in Fort Collins, Loveland, and Denver. We maintain their creations and take care of all the details in between so clients can revel in the plants’ beauty without getting their hands dirty.
